Guest guest
Hi to all, I am having the worst sinus infection I ever had right now. Usually I can end them quickly with rest, zinc, antioxidants, goldenseal, cs and nasalcrom. But this one is a humdinger. After a one week fight, including a fever and all, I can barely walk or think straight, and what is coming out of my nose has gone from gold to greenish (sorry for the details there!!!!). My teeth hurt, as does my right ear. The strange thing is that the fever abated 4 days ago I do not like to take antibiotics but asked that they be prescribed for me in this instance. Do I have some choices? Or is there a way to ease the situation so that I can at least sleep until the antibiotics kick in? I haven't gotten the pills yet. Thank you all so much, Cerise
Guest guest
a chiropractor/kinesiologist can adjust the palate and drain your sinuses. it works for my family, and two of my friends have also had this done (with great results.) it's not exactly pleasant, but it's a lot better than taking antibiotics. jillOn 7/26/06, red_sky_red_sky <cerise.sky wrote: Hi to all, I am having the worst sinus infection I ever had right now. Guest guest
Cerise, I had my first ever sinus infection in May. I got relief by taking a hot bath with a strong essential oil, like eucalyptus, and taking a hot wash cloth and putting it on my nose and forehead while at the same time putting a cold cloth on the back of my neck. I would also suggest taking a homeopathic remedy to ease your symptoms enough for you to ride this out. I took Kali Bi for intense pressure over my nose and temples - it also has yellow/green stringy mucus. You could also think about using colloidal silver. Hang in there, I know you are ready to be well. Dr. Kim herbal remedies , " red_sky_red_sky " <cerise.sky wrote: > > Hi to all, > > I am having the worst sinus infection I ever had right now. Guest guest
a good way for a sinus infection is : 1 . get 1 large towel + 1 small one 2 . put small towel on table 3. bring to a boil about 1 1/2 inch of water in a wide pot 4. when water boils , add 4 - 6 chaomomille terabags . IMMIDEATELY put pot on table , put head over pot and cover with large towel , making a tent . breathe the hot steam for as long as you can stand it or until it quits steaming . it will make your sinuses drain . chamomille is a natural antiseptic . this works soo good !!!!! many years , when i was working as a nanny with a german family , it was one of my jobs to take one of the children to a weekly treatment like this at her drs office . of course , he had a fancy maschine to hook her up for this . my husband . who never listens to anything and rather wants to be babied , will do this himself , when he is miserable enough . he learned that it works . most better grocery stores do carry chamomille tea in thei tea section . if you go to a healthfoodstore , you might be able to get loose tea . just add accordingly . Most of the time it is obvious that the drainage is from an infected area. I have alternative antibiotics ready in case the infection tries to pass to my lower respiratoy tract. The sinuses have the poorest blood supply in the body and it is difficult to get therapeutic amounts of allopathic or alternative anti-bacterial/fungal/viral remedies to that area. Ninety-seven percent of all chronic sinusitis is fungal. Chronic fungal sinusitis is the most common chronic disease in the United States and the gulf coast states have the highest incidence. Most people that have it don't know it. They are not all asymptomatic, they just do not associate the symptoms with a sinus infection. Allopathic(chemical) antibiotics(antibacterial) are one of the worst things you can do to yourself but that is what most M.D.'s use and they normally don't even do a culture. If by chance they do a culture it is normally inappropriate because a specialized technique is needed to obtain fungal spores.

Guest guest
May I gladly add to NOT use an ALUMINUM pot and you may want to add some Goldenseal to the mix. Clay. Ps Or you may try drinking goldenseal tea and or carrot juice to breathe easier through the nose. gabriele <gcliburn wrote: a good way for a sinus infection is : 1 . get 1 large towel + 1 small one 2 . put small towel on table 3. bring to a boil about 1 1/2 inch of water in a wide pot 4. when water boils , add 4 - 6 chaomomille terabags . Guest guest
Dear Cerise, Forget the antibiotics. These are very destructive. The following will handle: Take 8 cloves of garlic, cut them in half or quarters, dip 'em in organic olive oil and then down the hatchet. Take a full half ounce of Echinacea Tincture, then a dropperful each hour on the hour before bed. An half an hour before bedtime, make yourself 6 cups of Ginger tea (take a piece the size of your thumb, dice it up, add 6 cups of distilled water, and bring to a boil - let simmer for 15 minutes) and then drink all 6 cups while sitting in your bath tub for a half an hour with the water as hot as you can stand it. This will handle. Guest guest
Hi " rpautrey2 " - When I got sick I couldn't keep up with the list- I just now read this post weeks later and was interested to hear more about everything you touched upon. Could you tell us about the blood electrifier? Where do you get one? How do you know when/how to use it? What kind of alternative antibiotics do you use? Can you tell us more about fungal infections? This really rings true to me- I am sensitive to yeasts and molds and have been forever. Can a person rid themselves of fungal infections that are so deep in the body? The cs I have used intranasally- but it sounds like I could be doing a lot more with the cs. Been looking to buy a generator and trying to figure what to get. And you are one of several who have told me antibiotics are harmful. Is there any way to counteract their effects? Lots of questions I know- whatever you have time or inclination to answer, I thank you for. Thanks again! Cerise When my sinuses bother me I use a frequency adjustable Beck blood electrifier(aprox. 4-60hz) or a BK function generator(normally 315khz and 320khz full positive dc offset square wave with -20db attenuation) with flannel covered silver electrodes(wet) to initiate a sneezing and draining effect on my nasal and sinus passages.
