Can you help with a short but extremely important petiton that could

have an effect on every child in the United States?

Stop TeenScreen's Unscientific and Experimental " Mental Health

Screening " of American School Children

School Board Members and State and Federal Legislators

Whereas children as young as 9, who previously had not thought of

the concept of suicide, are being asked invasive and leading

questions by TeenScreen such as: Have you tried to kill yourself in

the last year? Are you still thinking of killing yourself? Have you

thought seriously about killing yourself? Have you often thought

about killing yourself? Have you ever tried to kill yourself? " and

kids are being lured into doing the suicide survey by TeenScreen's

offers of free movie passes, food coupons, pizza parties and $50

mall gift certificates;

Whereas the goal of TeenScreen leaders is to screen every American

child before they graduate from high school;

Whereas TeenScreen is based on the controversial and unscientific

Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, written by

psychiatrists with financial ties to drug companies and children

screened by TeenScreen are not given valid medical testing such as

brain scans, blood test, urine tests, X-Rays or any other valid

medical tests to detect evidence of any possible physical

abnormality that may be contributing to certain behavior;

Sincerely,

What a crazy bunch of people.

I think psychiatrists, became psychiatrists, hoping that maybe

someone along the way would be able to help them with their mental

problems.

It's not only teens, they are drugging up our little ones too. My son

has been having some sleep related anxiety which I had been unable to

do much about. His pedi whom I'm not too happy with sent him to a

psych and that guy wanted him on several different meds!!! What???

He's 8 yrs old!!!! He was going to prescribe an antidepressant and a

sleep aid, for a small child. Not in my lifetime buddy. I took him

there thinking he would talk with my son and get to the bottom of the

sleep problem so I could better help him. Never expected he'd want to

drug him up. We had this problem with my oldest who is 17. When he was

about 6 he was very hyper and the school counselor suggested we get

him on ritalin, at 6! What's this world coming to?

The good news is my little one is starting to sleep better after 6

weeks of anxiety. I'm using an organic valerian(plus other herbs) tea

which is calming, I also give him a bath right before bed with

lavender oil and put the oil on his pillowcase. He's getting much

better and without harsh mind altering drugs, imagine that! :o)

Tori <vcotten wrote He was going to prescribe an antidepressant and a sleep aid, for a small child ****This is SOOOO dumb and very irresponsible. Even the medical field has ruled that Anti-depressants for children lead to suicide and more depression. It certainly doesn't help. My dd was diagnosed with ADHD and of course they suggested meds right away. Good thing I know better! *~*~*Christina *~*~* SAHM to 3 daughters Isabella "the thoughtful one who likes to make fun" Chloe "The energetic one who makes me laugh" Sophie "The 'cute' one who is always thankful"

WOW, its amazing isn't it? We all can and choose to heal our children naturally without behavior modifican medicines (do some research, ritalin is documented to be both addictive and lead to further drug use and abuse in several cases) but these "professionals" claim there is no other way to deal with normal kids, with normal growing issues. All kids have problems, the same as we as adults do. The answer to any traditional docs, at least where I live, is there is a medicine for everything. Its insane, good for all of you who choose to do what is healthy, instead of doing whats "normal" ~Amy"Dr. Ian Shillington" <DocShillington wrote: Welcome to the wonderful world of the psychs. NOT! Right on Amy.

This is one of the reasons we need to fight Codex as best we can since our alternative way we've chosen is being threatened.
