Guest guest
Mine was effectively done in 1971 after my #4 child, a daughter, was born and everything works fine. I had the distinction of being this 10,000 case with no problems. My only negative side effect was because I lifted over 20# over my head before totally healed and had a minor healing set-back. I absolutely hate to hear those horror stories about having the procedure done. I know of many men that has and none of them have had any problems. Guest guest
I'm not sure if Bob was referring to a post about vasecomies having some ill effects on the men that have them done, or my post about having our fourth child after a vasectomy. If it was my post, I'd like to clarify that in our experience where scar tissue causes the vas to re-open is VERY rare. This is just one of those things that just happens, and is not the fault of the procedure. Guest guest
Hi Doc! Sorry for the delay but I just got my email back up after being down for 5 days.I was responding to the below email but failed to include the original message. When mine was done my tubes were cut and each end folded back on itself then sewed up , so there was a separating distance between the cut ends. No chance of leakage to cause pregnancy. I have never had any problems other than the original over lifting. What good news about handling herpes, too. Whew. Vasectomy- was at the top of the list, and we were all gung ho until I began reading about it. There seem to be a lot of men (and their wives) out there saying 'don't do it!'. It seems like the backup of sperm in the body is causing all kinds of autoimmune reactions, fatigue, sexual disfunction and pain. It also seems like the pain/increased scarring sets in 3-7 years or so after the procedure, and nothing much can be done about treating it once it begins. Men have had the procedure reversed in hopes of alleviating the symptoms, and half the time that doesn't even work. It seems like the percentage of problems is going up each year as men become a little more ok about reporting it. What do you think? And thanks to everyone writing in with their suggestions. Thanks again! - Staya Udanvti Bob Butler Sunday, July 23, 2006 12:19 PM Re: Birth Control - Vasectomy Re: Birth Control - Vasectomy Posted by: "Dr. Ian Shillington" DocShillington drianshillington Sat Jul 22, 2006 11:03 am (PST) Did someone say, that they personally had had a bad experience with a vasectomy???I missed this.DocDoc Shillington727-447-5282Doc (AT) AcademyOfNaturalHealing (DOT) com- Staya Udanvti Bob Butler Herbal Remedies Thursday, July 20, 2006 2:26 PMHerbal Remedies - Re: Birth Control - VasectomyMine was effectively done in 1971 after my #4 child, a daughter, was born and everything works fine. Guest guest
Hi folks, That was me re; bad vasectomy experiences. I had posted that we were ready to go forward, but then I'd read a whole bunch of sites built by those for whom it went badly. Not related to accidental pregnancy- it was about constant pain and autoimmune disfunction, amongst other problems. I ,of course, want to blame that all on sloppy surgeons. But I don't think that I can. So I was wondering how common negative outcomes may really be. And, if one were to have such a negative outcome, could one dissolve excess scarring and get rid of any other problems herbally? There may be no answer to those questions but I thought I'd toss it out there to see. Thanks, Cerise
