Where I live there are no walnut trees; I can get unshelled walnuts, but I dont know if they are black walnuts. I guess I want to know if there's something I can substitute for the black walnut hulls, or if any walnut hull, instead of a black one, will work. Thanks! For the last two months I've been doing some further experimentation with that recipe (trying to perfect it), since the Black Walnut Hulls tend to dramatically shorten the shelf life of it. Even when tinctured separately using alcohol, and then added to the ACV mixture of herbs, the shelf life is lessed by a great deal. My most recent experiments have been with adding Cilantro and Tumeric to the recipe with the idea of improving the Total Tonic's chelating characteristics. It seems as if the BWH likes the Alcohol base only and has an aversion to the ACV menstruum. For the nonce, leave it out of the recipe.
