Guest guest
My husband is 6ft 6in. and weighs 220 pounds. He is a contractor and works very hard physically. He has an average diet but is moving more and more towards completely organic. My question is he has been experiencing a condition in his feet where they go numb and then become painful. He has done some research on the internet and feels that it is a buildup of Uric Acid in his feet that is causing this. What can he do for this. Would OACV be helpful? I appreciate any help that might be offered. Thanks, Cindy from Washington. Want to be your own boss? Learn how on Small Business.
Guest guest
That does not sound too kosher. If he has a uric acid excess, it would manifest itself as gout, however, if it is uric acid excess, drink more water (helps flush the system) and stay away from meat fish eggs dairy. It could also be that at 6'6 and 220 pounds, he is on his feet too much. Try some different types of shoes. Talk is cheap. Use Messenger to make PC-to-Phone calls. Great rates starting at 1¢/min. Guest guest
Dear Cindy, The OACV would definitely help. If it really is a build up of Uric Acid, his best bet would be to do a thorough Kidney Bladder Cleanse. It also wouldn't hurt if he took the Body Balance + Formula as well to balance his pH. Guest guest
You have described my husband's feet. My husband is 6ft 5in. He has flat feet. The numbness and tingling are worse after he has been on his feet a lot - especially if it was on concrete floors. He used to be a cop(220lbs) that did a lot of walking on concrete and stairs with extra weight on his belt (gun,cuffs,radios,flashlight...) He changed occupations at 35 to be a toolmaker(250lbs) but he had to stand (on a pad) for 12 hours a day. He changed occupations at 45 because of his feet/legs/back (the pain travels up) to work with computers(270) and sit. He has arch supports now which has decreased the problem but has not stopped it. The podiatrist thought the numbness and tingling were due to tarsal tunnel. He has also esperienced this sensation in his hands, possibly carpal tunnel, (since he works with computers) but it has gotten better since he changed his posture and key board around. We won't do the surgery thing! He tries to stay off his feet since they give him so much trouble (he used to be 220lbs) but if he has had to stand or walk a lot and the tingling starts he does the hot/cold therapy and it helps. Usually, the tingling doesn't really drive him nuts until he can relax and he puts them up. If it is before bed he will do the hot/cold therapy. If he is trying to get to sleep or his feet wake him up he uses magnets. He fashioned 'slippers' out of magnetic knee wraps and added a few extra magnets here and there. It takes a few minutes but the magnets always work and he can sleep the rest of the night. For some reason beyond my understanding, the magnets don't work if you try to use them all the time. magnetic soles for the shoes and magnetic matress pads only help for a few days and then - nothing. However, if you use magnets sporadically they work great. I know this is only treating a symptom - but if the problem is mechanical instead of chemical, what do you do? Perhaps the best combination would be to get excellent arch supports, good shoes, and don't use your feet too much. I'd love to know if a professional massage helps tarsal tunnel or carpal tunnel. Our home massages only pause the tingling during the massage and then it starts right back up again. Currently, he has changed his diet around to mostly raw fruits and veggies and he is losing the weight. I just ordered the cleanses for the both of us so you will be hearing from us about that soon. We're excited Cheers, Moni
Guest guest
Moni, Are you sure the tingling is mechanical with one or both of the ‘tunnel’ syndromes? I also have had tingling in my feet, hands and lips for almost a year now. I finally traced it down to a calcium deficiency and take a LOT of calcium. I find after either a physical or emotional stress or exertion the tingling starts, and a few capsules resolve it. I know of others who take magnesium to resolve the same thing. Both calcium and magnesium deficiencies list tingling in the extremities as a recognized symptom.
