Guest guest
Greetings, The soy thread has me intrigued. I too have wondered what are the best soy products to consume with all the variations, cross pollinations, and planting standards, etc. What to do? It also makes me curious what Asians or SA living abroad use for their soy alternatives, or are they consuming the same? And in their villages-countries, still intact with traditional planting practices- are they still immune from this onslaught? Some may be, but I know in many parts of India with the Monsanto regime this is a huge, ongoing battle. Any suggestable alternatives? You're thinking along the right line by watching out for the non-GMO label, but this is virtually useless when it comes to Soy since they plant GMO crops right along side of Organic Crops nowadays. Cross pollination is actally impossible to stop in this day and age. Over 90% of all Soy crops produced in the USA today are now GMO. You need to rent the Video "The Future of Food", and this will give you all the documentation you need on the subject. I highly recommend this video to everyone on Herbal Remedies as this situation is beyond serious. We are heading for some disastrous times ahead if we do not turn this around. Actually disaster is kind of a mild term in this case. Let's use the word catastrophic instead. Hope this helps. In Health, Freedom, and Love, Doc PS. If you can't find the video, call my office and order one ($25) at the number below. I have a line in with the Producer and usually have a few copies lying around. It is the best documented film on modern day food and what is happening to it in the USA today. I like to buy the frozen edamame....and you say that soy should be sprouted/germinated before preparation? I do not see sunflower seeds sprouting before preparation (even at the organic mart here)....I am thoroughly confused...I do not normally do the soy milk or tofu, and rarely miso soup....mostly edamame.... Do you have a link or additional info that can give me the basic run down on what is going on with this particular topic? I had read so much good stuff about soy adn I have been careful to ensure that the soy I eat stated 'non-gmo'... Again, sorry if I sound ignorant, but it seems that I am on this particular subject, and I would like to rectify this... These things are Acid Ash and don't turn alkaline until the germination process has been completed. Stay away from Soy. Nowadays the entire Soy market is controlled by Monsanto, and we all know what nice fellows these boy are. Guest guest
Dear Tracey, Monsantos tentacles are insinuated everywhere. The best alternative is to grow your own Soy, ferment your own beans, and make your own products. Other than that, it's just safer to stay away from all Soy until Monsanto has been tried at Nuremburg. :-) Doc Doc Shillington727-447-5282Doc - Tracey & Varinder herbal remedies Monday, July 10, 2006 11:59 AM Herbal Remedies - Re: The Soy controversy- best alternatives, etc.~ Greetings, The soy thread has me intrigued.
