Doc:

Which source that you have listed in the file section do you order the

bulk of your herbs from? I'm looking for a source for the burdock

seed, chapparal and others for the detox tea recipe.

On the eyebright formula with DMSO is this for internal use or to drop

into the eye?

Thanks much.

Shar

Dear Shar,

I buy in huge Jobber lots and directly from Organic Farmers and Wildcrafters who do not sell directly to the public. There are several other sources that have been mentioned in previous posts and you can do a search of past posts on these.

Eventually, I may store enough quantity to sell wholesale to the public myself, but not quite there yet. ;-)

The one item I might be able to start selling in the not too distant future is Nutritional Yeast since I have humongous stores of this. This would have to be in wholesale amounts (minimum 5 lbs).

The Eyebright formula is for use with an eyecup and distilled water and used directly in the eyes.

Hope this helps.

Hi everyone I am new here! my question is how long can you store dried herbs before they lose thier potinancy, and what do you all find to be the best oil to brew your potions in? I have always used olive oil but wonder about it going rancid. Thanks! happy to be here Rhoni

Depends on how you store them.

If you vacuum seal them, they'll last for ages.

Check the Files for how to make a tincture, where you'll find that the best menstruum for most is Alcohol. Olive Oil should only be used with completely dry herbs as fresh herbs or moist herbs will cause it to go rancid very quickly or at the very least will cause molding to occur.
