Does anyone have any knowledge on how to assist someone who has been diagnosed with this particular nerve ailment? I have a friend who has this, and the pain seems to go in waves, but on bad days the pain is soo intense...she has never been much of a complainer until this happened...she fell at work, broke both the ulna & radius near her wrist...but the RSD was diagnosed after the fractures had been healed, and there was still intense pain, so they went through all the various hulabaloo of diagnosis, but she has the tempurature and color differences, and the extreme hypersensitivity in addition to the intense pain, and they have rechecked for breaks that could have been missed...anyway, she is now at a pain clinic, even physical therapy has told here that they have done as much as they can...she can function with her arm, but sometimes I think that it is only because she has heard what can happen to those who just quite using that part of their bodies due to the pain) but the pain has now moved into her shoulder...with the intense meds they have her on and the nerve blocks that work but only for a couple of weeks before the pain begins to return, I just hate it that there is nothing that anyone can really do...she is willing to try just about anything, as long as it is legal and financially w/in her means (as she still cannot work - and is having a hard time w/ that as well and is now on anti-depressants after months of this going on and on...).

If anyone has any ideas/knowledge...Doc or anyone...it would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks!
