Guest guest
Hi Doc, Sorry I don't post very much but read and file everything over the past several months and slowely getting into more herbal and trying things that are new to me. I have been reading about the benefits of using neem for health and healing. Do you feel that it can be good to use and if so how much. What I would like to know is are they any problems that you might know of people using this for health purposes. Thanks and I will only listen to what you feel is best on this. Donna, Pa. Guest guest
Dear Donna, I'm sorry to tell you that Neem is one item I haven't had the chance to investigate yet. Perhaps someone else on list has looked into it thoroughly??? Guest guest
Neem is an Indian (Asia, not American) plant that is useful in skin issues. It works quite well for athletes foot and ringworm."Dr. Ian Shillington" <DocShillington wrote: Dear Donna, I'm sorry to tell you that Neem is one item I haven't had the chance to investigate yet. Guest guest
Hi, I have used Neem for dandruff, for spraying on plants for bugs, for wounds, cuts and infections. I have a dog who had bad excema and it helped heal that along with Fish Oil ! She used to spend her days scratching herself on a door mat, but not now. A friend has used it to help get rid of Candida, and did have a decrease. Neem has been used in India for 5,000 years, and EVERY part of the tree is used. When the seeds are squeezed to extract the oil The resulting Neem cake as it is called, can be fed to cattle, horses, goats, sheep as a nutritious feed which also helps rid them of parasites. It can be used as a pesticide, and the bugs never develop an immunity or tolerance to it. We NEED this so we can stop kiiling ourselves off with toxic poisons. Neem is NOT toxic to us or animals. It’s called Nature’s Pharmacy by the people of India, and is part of the Ayuravedic Medical System. This is one plant that deserves research. I would LOVE to grow it, but it doesn’t like frosts and we get a lot of frosts here. There is a huge amount of info on it on the net, and a good place to start is on this website. http://forestry.about.com/cs/treeid/a/neem_tree.htm Truly an amazing tree.
