possible urinary track infection in 3yo?

For the last two or so weeks my 3yo has complained that his " penie

hurt " -please forgive the lingo lol. He pinches at himself a lot, not

all the time but quite a bit. It's relieved occaisionally by voiding,

but sometimes he still complains about it even after voiding.

I am thinking that perhaps he might have gotten a UTI (urinary track

infection) from a bath? This is the only thing I can think of that

would cause one, he is not a big bread eater, not a " sick " child, nor

unclean. He is circumcised so I don't see a prob from that area, and

he changes underwear every day or if he has a slight accident.

If it is a UTI what would be acceptable to treat with for a young

child? I am planning on picking up some cranberry juice tomorrow and

starting the CS today. What could be some other possible causes?

TIA

I used to get these a lot when I was a kid.. My parents brought me to a specialist and I even had 2 operations to open up the tube in my penis (the medicos said it was too narrow). I found out later in life the that it is the acidity of the food was bothering me. Try a teaspoon of baking soda in a small glass of water. Repeat if necessary. I still get this every now and then and this still works for me.

This is a chronic problem for me, well actually a bladder infection is. I developed one the day I was born, had many procedures during my childhood, and now drink plenty of water, and I'm talking 2 + gallons a day. I don't I get another infection.

However, the medico's will tell me I have a UTI. I tell them doubt it, only had one in my life, and this is a bladder infection. They are two different beings and infections. My bladder always has an infection, though with plenty of water, and eating right, it stays dormant. Used to get the infection to flair up every few weeks as a child. As an adult because I understand why and how to take care of myself it's about every 18 months to two years. And it is the hardest thing to get rid of. In my case any meds the medico's give me takes enough of the infection away that I don't kill some one. What kills the infection? I spike a seriously high (104) fever and then it suddenly drops way below normal. There has been tests that prove this is what breaks it. But for 24-48 hours after my temp drops there is no sign of infection or any natural occuring bacteria in my bladder (even the good bacteria). Then is slowly builds.

So I would maybe clarify which it is.

Dear Jamie,

Absolute best would be the Kidney Bladder Tea as in the Files.

Second best for an immediate handling would be to go to your local Healthfood Store and ask the Grocer if he has any "Organic" Corn for sale and if he does, ask him if you can have the corn silk from the top of the husk. Then buy some parsley and make a tea with a cup of the parsley, a cup of the corn silk tea, and six cups of distilled water. Bring to a boil and let simmer for 15 minutes (a decoction) and then let cool or put in a glass with some ice cubes (again made from distilled water) and have him drink it down. Have him drink a cup of this a day, and his UTI will clean up very quickly. Use the Kidney Bladder Tea Recipe and it'll clean up altogether.

This is fine for a bandaid approach, but I'd dig deeper to find out what is causing the Acidosis.

Dear Pam,

I've never known a Kidney / Bladder Infection to fail to clear up permanently when my full Kidney / Bladder Cleansing Program has been done. This is fully outlined in the files. The Kidney / Bladder Tea and the Kidney Bladder Formula are second to none in doing this. This regimen just doesn't fail as long as you're not drinking 10 pots of coffee and a six pack of beer every day along with it. ;-)

PS. Remember this!!! Most people who are ill, are sick because they are either doing something they shouldn't or are not doing something they should. I haven't found an exception to this yet!!!
