Guest guest
My problem IS swallowing it. It gets stuck in my throat. Is there any way to soften the garlic? I choke on it every single time, even when I slice it thinly. I take flax oil in the AM, so the olive oil is not an issue for me. It gets stuck in my throat. Too bad I couldn't pop em whole in a capsule. The corners and edges are what get caught. I thought about the vinegar, but wondered if that would lessen the effectiveness. I thought about mincing the garlic, but the way I understand it, is that there is (somewhat) less odor if taken whole or halved. A pastille made out of powdered herbs and molasses or honey with the garlic in the middle? Just thinking off the top of my head. Any ideas?? Tammi U.*** i have a HARD time doing oil straight . the idea alone nauseated me . andtrying to swallow those garic halves would just make me gag .------ Gee whiz Maranatha, you need to get over it. This really works and you can pretend it's a piece of something you love to eat, just swallow it quickly.
Guest guest
if the size is bothering you, and even w/ an oil coating it is bothering you as well...maybe your only option is smaller pieces...it is the only way I can get my daughter (7) to eat fresh garlic...I mince it up and throw it on top of her already cooked food...or in her salad...etc...and I throw fresh garlic on anything that sits still long enough anyway...and I figure I just try to cook for others as well so maybe they are used to it...lol...so if I smell like garlic, so do they the importantance is that you get it in one way or another... Guest guest
I always mince mine really fine and then swallow with water. The rough edges got stuck in my throat as well, and this is what works for me. Samantha
