Doc,

I did the cold/hot just one time each before bed for two nights. I

did about 30 minutes with the ice, then I took a hot bath. It really

helped. Now I can't even find the place where it had been sore.

I'm going to wait until the two weeks that most sites recommend for

recovery has passed before I start to run again. I'll stick to

walking and swimming in the meantime.

I still have a fear that it's going to keep happening, that perhaps

there is some scar tissue or something tougher than ususal in there

that isn't as flexible as it should be and will snap again. Does that

make any sense?

Dan

Yes, that makes sense. Basically, when you pull/tear a muscle the fibers that make it up (which normally lay flat and orderly) get all mish-moshed. This mish mosh knot is not as flexible as the nice neat rest of the muscle. Stretching (WARMED UP) muscles and massage will help to flatten out the knot of scar tissue again so that the muscle regains flexibility and will not pull/tear again. I would also suggest using the deep tissue repair oil (recipe in files).

Dear Dan,

As a runner, I can tell you that I've been there and done that ;-)

You can also use the Deep Tissue Repair Oil as in the Files. Add a little extra DMSO if you have to since this helps to eradicate free radicals and also helps to realign the DNA back to the orginal blue print. Horse trainers have known about this miracle herbal for decades and used it on their race horses.

Remember to do your stretching exercises before you run, and after.

Hope this helps.

In Health, Freedom, and Love,

Doc

Doc,

Will the Deep Tissue Repair Oil keep in the fridge or

freezer? I am thinking it is a good thing to have on hand for sports seasons

coming up, but the recipe on file says it lasts for 2 weeks.

Thanks,

Betsy

No Hon.

You store it for two weeks in its preparation.

It's shelf life is about 10 years.

:-)

Doc

PS. You don't need to store it anywhere special. On a counter is just fine. Just make sure you don't store it in any area where direct sunlight hits it.
