White Vinegar works well for getting rid of the athletes feet. Soak his feet first 3 days in it for at least a half hour. Then spray his feet every day with vinegar. The vinegar will kill it and make his feet inhospitable to the fungus. We use the lavender and tea tree for wounds.

Tea Tree is wonderful for athletes foot. If he is in boots all day he

might try using a powder to help absorb wetness, or even just pure

cornstarch sprinkled in his boots. At one time I had found a really

nice powder with tea tree in it but have never been able to find it

again. It worked well to clear up and keep away my sons athlete foot

problem. I've had it myself and used tea tree oil twice a day for 2

weeks and it was gone. Doesn't smell pretty but it works!

Good luck!

Hi!!

Tea tree and lavender oil can be used neat, using a cotton bud, straight onto the tinea.

Other things to consider are

what is his peripheral circulation like? does he get cold hands and feet? (if so, lack of blood and nutrition in the area can weaken the structures and make them more prone to infections..)

Have you looked into the type of socks he wears? make sure they are either cotton/ and/or/ Wool - no synthetics.

Give the guy a foot bath in the evenings when he gets home - a nice bucket of yummy hot water on sore feet is a great treat. use a few drops of tea tree oil dispesed by some base oil in the water (just make sure the quality of the oil is good - make sure it has the correct latin botanical name, batch no and exp. date on the bottle)

A great herbal treatment I have used myself is greater celandine - the juice from the rot, straight onto the site. ( it grows wild here, i dont know about the US). There are lots of other anti-fungal herbs that work well, and some that work well internally to help rid a chronic tinea problem.

Garlic oil works. For quicker results rub a slice of garlic over the problem area. Invest in socks that wick away moisture from the feet. Fixed my problem last winter. Vicki

Sneak preview the all-new .com. It's not radically different. Just radically better.
