I am sure with all the favorite herbs/tinctures/combinations etc. that

you have there is probably some kind of system that you have for

storage. Do you utilize a cabinet, room or wharehouse (lol)?

I am starting to envision myself with boxes bags and bottles all over

my house from the herbs Im purchasing, or harvesting myself. Is there

some sane way to keep track of all this stuff? I have seen kits in

woodworking magazines for your own herbal apocarthy chests, but am

having trouble locating anything that doesnt have something to do with

devil worship stuff!

Please advise.

Dear Jamie,

No devil worship involved. LOL

Best is to set aside one room in the house for all your herbal workings and the rest will take care of itself. Next you'll find out you need a large shelf for all your gallons of tincture, then you'll need a press to press all your extracts, then you'll need . . .

You'll get the idea.

Jamie..

Just my 2 cents but yes, without a plan you will have bottles and bags

everywhere in the house... sometimes with a plan you will have it

everywhere. haha.

here is what i did when it all became overwhelming, and my partner

started gritting her teeth... i bought a small kitchen trolley/cart

with baskets and drawers (housewares $80-$100). this is where i keep

the herbs, capsules etc that im currently working with. i put up

shelves in the basement for tinctures etc. waiting to be harvested,

and have an area for finished product. i use lab notebooks to record

recipes, dates herbs are bought, when product is made, etc. it works

out pretty good. the trolley has wheels so i can move it around if

need be... or if i get kicked out of the kitchen. ;~D

blessings..
