I am the fulltime caregiver for my elderly inlaws. My 86yo mil experiences varying degrees of edema from time to time. She is not ambulatory at all, so foot and leg massage, as well as some gentle physical therapy involving my moving her legs up and down and around helps get the circulation going. She takes Dr. Christopher's blood stream purifier in tincture form daily. Getting the right amount of water throughout the day helps too, but not too much at once or her kidneys overload. When she does experience some swelling, I give her 3 drops of cayenne tincture three times a day, in a small amount of water. For more severe swelling, I also offer celery seed tea 2-3 times daily. This regimen seems to keep the fluid retention to a minimum.

If she can walk a little bit (or get some type of activity) that should help the kidneys. Also there is an herb called uva ursi that will help.Marianne <zoomer wrote: I am the fulltime caregiver for my elderly inlaws. My 86yo mil experiences varying degrees of edema from time to time. Sneak preview the all-new .com. It's not radically different. Just radically better.
