Guest guest
*** See my point is this: As a Vegetarian I do not eat any Meat Fish Fowl and this has been my lifestyle for over 35 years. So if I did not eat any Meat Fish or Fowl or eggs or Milk...wouldn't I be malnourished? *** By not consuming any animal products you would be a Vegan. If you are getting all your daily requirements some other way then you would not be malnourished. Many vegans enjoy excellent health. I became a vegetarian in the mid-60's. I've gone through many different cycles. Currently we occasionally eat range fed white chicken tenderloins, no fat. Animals fats are the key here, they have the bad stuff. At least this is the research I've been able to come up with. Since we live right on the ocean we also enjoy seafood in moderation, but I'm very careful with what we consume. Then of course the organic produce is abundant in the summer time and we eat a lot of it. I prepare many different kinds of salads, the imagination is the limit here and believe me when I say we never get tired of salad. I used mixed greens, tomatoes, avocados. I keep organic cashews, almonds, walnuts, pinenuts and dried fruits in my freezer. Also, I buy canned organic chick peas and beets to put on top. My friends who does organic gardening also raises birds and Llamas. They get organic Llama from a farm nearby to consume, it's quite tasty but I just can't eat it. They also use organic milk and of course eggs from their chickens. I have noticed they eat lots of beans and grains. One thing I notice with them is their skins are very pale, not from being unhealthy. I got them a juicer and a food processor and they are starting to get rosy cheeks. Good luck to you, I have always liked to research and experiment with anything that is healthy. I will continue to do this. Keeping an active mind and body helps me stay young. Blessings and love to all of you. Micki
