I've been doing a LOT of research for the last two years for my hip and found

someone who told me that large amounts of MSM have helped him significantly.

After doing some digging I found the following: By from the US and get pine

based, not petroleum based. Here is where I found some information on this:

This is a site which is supposed to sell pine based MSM, not petroleum based:

https://jacoblab.com/OrderMSMBulk.html

and this is where I found the above links. They may be more worried about their

hair but apparently have done some research:

Also, in an article at MSM-MSM.com, it states MSM works better with vitamin C.

Other studies showed it also worked better with glucosamine... I'd be interested

in what others think and which supplements which supplements have been helpful,

thanks

Alobar and I started with similar conditions. I was told that within

two years my knee would require replacement and that the ACL was

snapped, but it is back and better than ever. I could not hold a

wrench in cold weather, my knee would collapse without warning, I had

terrible sciatica, and my neck was always killing me. Not surprisingly,

my experience parallels Alobar's. Since we followed the same protocol we

got similar results. Any problems with connective tissue are all

distant memories.

Dave emailed me off group and we discussed his research. Sometimes you

can just be too thorough. I have never paid more to get MSM from any

special source and the results have always been truly spectacular.

However, I have read that some sources are not so pure and that could be

an issue.

The bottom line is that I have never suffered any joint problems for

about fifteen years now... since finding out that large doses of MSM

will do the trick. Like Alobar, I have cut back now, but whenever I

get even a slight tinge of joint pain, I scoop up a heaping

tablespoonful, put in my mouth with some water, swish it around till the

taste is gone, and swallow... and it is quickly forgotten (MSM is

absorbed well in the mouth, so you get more that way).

Note that arteries and veins are also connective tissue, so expect

great side effects when you use MSM. Why not take Glucosamine,

Microlactin, Hyaluronic Acid, etc. since they are synergistic? But MSM

is " Da Bomb " .

I buy the cheapest MSM I can find. No idea if it is made from

petroleum or not. 8 years ago, I could not ie my shoes, or button my

shirt. Putting on an oven mitt was painful. I take 2 grams x 3

times a day. I started out at a higher dose and cut down after the

pain went away. MSM is not only great for arthritis, but it also

helped reverse my diabetic neuropathy in my feet and hands.

I take vitamin C to bowel tolerance daily. Currently I take ~15

grams a day. Back 5 years ago, I needed over 30 grams a day.

Why do you believe MSM from petroleum is inferior? The MSM molecule

is the same, no matter where it comes from.
