Guest guest
Dear Jessica, Welcome to Herbal Remedies. There are many regimens that can help with this in the area of cleansing etc, but one of the best remedies is Castor Oil. You simply saturate your hair at night time with Castor Oil and sleep with a shower cap on. Total Nutrition in the Files is also good for helping with Hair loss. My 86 year old Father-In-Law was as bald a billiard ball and started regrowing hair after simply adding Total Nutrition into his regimen. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Hello Jessica, Are you taking any medications? I too am losing alot of hair and have recently gotten myself off all medication to see if this may be the reason for all my hair loss. It may take a while to find out. I'm trying to detox my liver too. Cherie from Michigan herbal remedies , " jevmjm " <jevmjm wrote: > > Hi, I'm Jessica. I'm a newbie here. Guest guest
When I took atenolol for my high blood pressure(took it for 8 yrs) I was losing so much hair I thought I would be bald by 40! I had to keep it pulled back at all times or it would be all over my house, it was horrible. I talked to my then MD but he kept saying it was stress which I had very little stress. I quit taking the med and guess what? Within a few months my hair quit falling out and I haven't had that problem since and now my hair is long and strong! I've also read that birth control can cause hair loss as well as numerous other medications.
Guest guest
I just posted a similar question the other day and I was told that Rosemary essential oil diluted with a little carrier oil will do the trick. Other reccomendations were Shou Wu Pian and Biotin. herbal remedies , jocelyne hemming <jh wrote: > > I am new to the group, and a novice with herbs. > > Has anyone a recipe for encouraging hair growth. > Thanking you in anticipation, > Jocelyne >
Guest guest
I was on the depo shot for birth control which I thought was a contributing factor. However I stopped using it overa year ago and still haven't noticed any difference. Other than that all I take are vitamins. herbal remedies , " soyasee " <soyasee wrote: > > Hello Jessica, > > Are you taking any medications? > > I too am losing alot of hair and have recently gotten myself off all > medication to see if this may be the reason for all my hair loss. Guest guest
Dear Dr. Shillington, Thank you so much for the advice, I highly appreciate it. I looked at your total nutirtion formula. Is this something I need to make, or is this something that is sold? If it is sold where would I buy this product? Also someone on this site reccomended rosemary essential oil, is this something that would work? For now I will try the castor oil. Thank you again for your help. Guest guest
In Traditional , hair is maintained by foundational essence and also by blood. As we age, the foundational essence can be depleted. There are great herbs and acupuncture points for that. Dietary therapy is also important. I would recommend black beans, black chicken, black rice, black sesame, walnuts, red grapes, goji, shitake, sprouts, organic eggs, organic kidneys and liver (see if you can find an organic butcher.) Raspberries and raspberry tea. QiGong/yoga/Tai Chi are great as well. - " catscankim " <kims83 <herbal remedies > Sunday, March 22, 2009 2:36 PM {Herbal Remedies} Hair Loss > Hello all. Guest guest
Google " silica " " hair " and you will find that hair growth and health is heavily influenced by the presence or absence of sufficient silica. Surely having sufficient iodine (which is a LOT more than is commonly realized) is more important, but silica is a real peach for hair, skin, nails, bone matrix, all collagen, etc.... Can't quite believe that I have been reading in nutrition for 20 years and have just really learned this. Maybe you too?? pj ps www.eidon.com has really good info about silica
