Guest guest
The class of antibiotics known as FLUOROQUINOLONES (FQ) were invented to be used when all other antibiotics had failed to clear up a serious infection. They are known as " the big guns " of antibiotics because they are highly toxic to ALL bacteria and and penetrate deeply into tissue, bone and organs. They can also damage your connective tissues such as tendons, cartilage and collagen. They also can wreak havoc on your CNS (central nervous system) and cause permanent nerve damage. All of this has been proven by many studies. As of last year, a Black Box warning has been placed on all FQs by the FDA. This warning is way overdue. These FQs include: Cipro, Levaquin, Avelox and many others. The problem is this: Because of FQs higher price they are being used as a first line treatment when other less toxic antibiotics should be used first for infections of the urinary tract or sinuses....etc. This class of FQ antibiotics has injured many, many people. Most Dr's are not even aware of this problem and fail to connect the dots between the use of these antibiotics and their patients presenting with all kinds of health problems. The list of severe adverse reactions these FQs are capable of is staggering. More info: http://www.fqresearch.org/
