Natural remedies for nasal polyp

I have a single polyp on one of the turbinates on the left side of my nose.

Single polyps are unsual, and sometimes caused by a tumor rather than allergies,

but the doctor says he can't tell without a biopsy. Current tx is to use a

steroid nasal spray & come back in 6 weeks to see if the polyp has shrunk. If

not, surgery is prescribed.

Does anyone have suggestions for natural/homeopathic remedies for nasal polyps

(for now, I'll just assume that the polyp is caused by allergies).

Thanks,

Ashley

I also discovered a nasal polyp in my left nostril recently. I am trying to

eliminate it using Lugol's 2.3% iodine. I apply the iodine solution to a cotton

swab, and then apply the wet cotton swab to the polyp. Iodine stains, but who

would notice inside your nostrils? Iodine has been proven to eliminate fungus,

which is what causes polyps (some doctors call this " cancer " ).

Melly, the iodine I use does not sting because it only contains elemental

iodine, potatssium iodide, and distilled water (Lugol's solution). By contrast,

the iodine available in the pharmacies is an alcoholic tincture for external use

only. The alcohol severely burns mucus membranes, and the " eternal use only "

designation is because they are using the denatured isopropyl alcohol.

I've used both the 2.3% and 5% concentrations of Lugol's solution with good

effect. No sensation is felt at all if the area is virus-free in the nasal

passages. A slight warming effect is felt if viruses are present, followed by a

profuse dumping of mucus (the dead viruses need to be expelled).
