Guest guest
I have been researching Type I diabetes for about a year now, since my niece got it. There are some natural supplements that can help, but it is certainly not an easy problem to reverse. My advice is to keep reading and learning. There is trickle of info coming in. Certainly, she should be off all carbs, sugar, sugar subs, and eat plenty of green veggies, but a vegan diet is not the answer. Read the Weston A. Price Foundation website front to rear and you'll know more about diet than almost any pro. Insulin as I am sure you are aware is a killer in itself and it is certainly not a cure. Diet sets the condition into play and is key to resolving it. As she gets her diet in order, the idea is lesson the requirement. Remember, you are in charge, not the doctors. It is now believe by many that had the mother taken Vit D3 through pregnancy, the condition would not develop. That may not help at this point, but it points out the importance of adequate levels of Vit D. If I had to deal with the problem directly, I would invest in a light panel similar to what Mercola sells that allows the body to create Vit D naturally. Guest guest
Hi Anna, In combination with all the great advice you are getting, we have many clients who are reducing their insulin need or even getting off insulin using a medical essential oil. A couple drops under the tongue, 2-3 times a day and blood glucose levels are normalizing. We do some diet changes - like adding in a superfood drink - but we have several people who will not change their diet yet. whole food supplements, the superdrink, diet changes (especially getting off the artificial sweeteners that all the MD's recommend), and this essential oil (as well as all the other things you can do) are all complementary - so why not? None will hurt, and we are certainly seeing it help! I can certainly give you some first hand testimonials about these methods - I am no human diabetes expert (nor human ND or what have you) - just a vet who practices alternative medicine, and loves to research all things alternative - and all of my clients are also struggling with health issues as they come in for their pets. And, voila, before you know it, we are talking more about them than " Fido " . Hope this helps, Melissa Shelton DVM www.CrowRiverAnimalHospital.com
