The citizens of our nation deserve this and our nation should provide just as the civilized nations of this planet already do for their citizens. Do each of us deserve any less? By NOT providing this benefit to our populace, is our government throwing in the towel and saying to the world that they are no longer able to provide for us as the other leading countries provide for their citizens? Do we intend to become a third-rate country in order for the 1% of our citizens to line their bank accounts with our hardearned dollars while leaving 30 million plus of us uninsured and many million more going bankrupt from their " deductibles " or dying due to some non-physician board member turning their claim down to save their bottom line and their bonuses? Are we going to stand for this one minute longer? If we are, then we deserve to wait in ERs until we drop dead because the line is so long! In only two weeks, we've gone from zero to 34 senators on the record. Eight Senators -- including Dick Durbin, the second-highest ranking Senate Democrat -- just this week. These Senators heard your phone calls and now they're helping lead the charge for the public option. Thanks to your hard work, no other way forward on healthcare reform has more united support. The majority of Senate Democrats, the majority of House Democrats, and the majority of Americans all agree: It's time to pass a public option using reconciliation. Some Democrats in Washington, including White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, keep saying the votes aren’t there, but they won't name the Senate Democrats who are villains of real reform. It's time for Robert Gibbs and the White House to name names and be transparent about which Democrats are actually opposed to the public option. They have a responsibility to tell the country who is undermining the will of the American public -- who overwhelmingly support the public option over the Senate bill that lacks one. ADD YOUR NAME TODAY Democrats will pass healthcare reform this year. It's up to us to make sure it includes the most popular piece of reform. Christy< Freedom... a novel concept!! So you too are not buying Obama's guarantee of lower cost health care and more choices with a " public option " . But then maybe what we want is no longer our choice if the Dems get their way. how did we ever sink to this level?
