Uterine fibroids

Oh my goodness, do not let them remove your friend's uterus. A few years ago the

doctor tried to

do that to me. I had fibroids diagnosed the week before xmas and i was told I

needed to get them out immediately because I probably had cancer and should not

take any chances. As the doc was telling me this, she told her nurse to schedule

surgery. I went home so angry at her heavy handed unsympathetic approach, did my

research, and found the most amazing doctor in the world in Atlanta. I live in

NC but drove down the week after xmas, he checked me out with the ultra sound in

his office, told me he could take the fibroids out ....and he did.  The

procedure is called a laproscopic myomectomy....it is commonly done now but I

wouldn't let just anyone do it cause there are doctors and then there are

doctors and I dont normally do anything an allopathic doctor tells me but in

this case I had to do something because the pain was so bad....3 fibroids

pushing on my back. Four hr surgery, and it was all taken out, and he pronounced

me as good as a 16 year

old! He did not take out anything but the fibroids and said he never would

unless it was totally necessary because that ruins the rest of your life

sexually. That was ten years ago, and I go see him every year for my female

checkup just because he is the best doctor I have ever been to. I drive 7 hrs

down and 7 hrs back home and its the best thing I ever do. Women fly in from

all over the world to see him.  If you would like to know who about him, email

Anyone know what to do to eliminate fiboids? A friend is facing uterus removal

if there is no solution. thanks in advance
