Guest guest
If this is the problem wouldn't I have occurrences every night rather than maybe two or three times a month? Jackie - Tony De Angelis Sunday, August 17, 2008 2:37 PM Re: Question Get a saliva test, or blood test (which is not as good), Your estrogen/progesterone/testosterone amounts and ratios can be out of balance. If this is inconvenient or too pricey, do some weight-bearing exercises four times per week and use a progesterone cream that will give 10 to 20 mg of progesterone for 25 days each month. This may take up to two months for you to see appreciable results.--- On Sun, 8/17/08, Hill8628 <Hill8628 wrote: Hill8628 <Hill8628 Question Date: Sunday, August 17, 2008, 6:26 AM I am looking for suggestions, research, or opinion as to what could be causing the following: I am post menopausal-- -no hot flashes for 5 years I do not have infection or ill--that I know of anyway. Occasionally I wake up between 1 am and 4 am because I am extremely hot and starting to sweat. I get up and make a trip to the bathroom and sometimes that is all I need to cool down and I can go back to sleep. Other times, it doesn't help at all and I just keep getting hotter and hotter so end up getting up. I realize this is during my elimination cycle of the circadian rhythm and I have been assuming that it is my body getting rid of toxins. But I don't know this for a fact as I haven't run across this anywhere in my reading. Also why so bad only occasionally. Any input would be appreciated. Guest guest
Not necessarily, you are still cycling during each month and you may be reaching a crical-mass situation at irregular intervals due to stress, diet and hormaonal situations--- On Sun, 8/17/08, Hill8628 <Hill8628 wrote: Hill8628 <Hill8628Re: Question Date: Sunday, August 17, 2008, 2:51 PM If this is the problem wouldn't I have occurrences every night rather than maybe two or three times a month? Guest guest
Kimmy wrote: > Hi. I'm interested in making perfume oils for myself and to sell. How > would I go about this? > Kimmy > Hi Kimmy.... Thanks for the welcome to the List, Ma'am.... First of all...let me tell you I'm not a seller of perfume , or soaps, or anything else like these....so I don't have an angle on the business end of things... And that's a pretty important part of your idea... In real life (i.e. day job) I sold Industrial Supplies....stuff like maintenance chemicals, tools, abrasives, cutting tools..that kind of thing.... If yer gonna get into making perfume... You have to make a couple of decisions first..... Like are ya gonna do synthetics or naturals, or both.... Oil or alcohol based, or both.... I think of incense as a perfume... As a matter of fact, the word perfume is from the Latin, per (through), fume (from fumo, which is smoke).....i.e. " through smoke " .... And then ya get to the good part... Acquiring essences, learning about them, etc..... You can shortcut things.....There's a lot of recipe lists and books out there..... There's also devoted email lists..... Example, and my favorite, (Cuz I hang out there....<G>...!), is another list group...The Natural Perfumery List... http://naturalperfumers.com/ is the website.. If you want to be more involved in the art than duplicating and tweaking recipes..... Again, I'm talking Natural Perfumery...... I can't think of a better book to get your hands on than... Essence & Alchemy by Mandy Aftel..... Lotta info, including history and that..... But it also gives you the basics on essences, the chords (or accords), top, middle and bottom, blending.....there's even some philosophy thrown in... Hope this helps.... -- Gary W. Guest guest
My immediate response is to reframe these 2 words into Trust In The Medicine and Do No Harm...... - Hugo Ramiro Chinese Medicine Friday, October 17, 2008 8:50 AM Question Hi All - It's finally time for another one of my funny questions. No, I am not trying to be funny. Confidence or Caution? If you don't have confidence, patients will likely have less confidence in you as well. If you don't have caution, you risk missing things, or going too far. Clearly there needs to be a balance. I am curious as to how my excellent colleagues manage this skill. ( " Management " is a big word in my vocabulary right now) Thank you, and looking forward to your insightful responses! ________________________________ Hugo Ramiro http://middlemedicine.wordpress.com http://www.chinesemedicaltherapies.org Send instant messages to your online friends http://uk.messenger.
