Guest guest
I recently was told that the chronic fatigue, dry skin, dry eyes, dry mouth, fibro pain and other problems were all probably linked to Sjogrens Syndrome. Approx 1 in 500 women post-menopausal suffer from this syndrome, men also have it - not as common as in women; and most people that have fibromyalgia have it. I am 76 and my doctor took me off my bioidentical hormones including thyroid, he did this two months ago - said I did not need them at my age - and this has caused me to flair with everything including hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings and all the rest of the stuff you need hormones for. In fact I have gone down like a rock - literally ill and pain racked - and I have gained 15 pounds. I have started on the bioidentical hormone creams and nascent iodine. I also bought a humidifier and thing are a lot better. The testing for Sjogrens Syndrome is very costly and doctors feel the must test you for every disease that has similar symptoms and it can be miss diagnosed as valley fever, lyme disease, cancer, lupus, etc. Worth looking into Mike.
