Guest guest
I apologize because I'm rather late on this thread. My daughter is 6.5, and her doctor just prescribed B12 shots for her. This thread caught my eye. I have not yet started giving her the shots, but can you please tell me what bad stuff is in these shots? Where can I learn more? You mention " clean " shots with a 'script, so how do I know the doctor gave her the good stuff? (btw, the doc is an Environmental Medicine specialist, with a very good understanding of holistic medicine.) Thanks! Guest guest
Why not try sray.? Dr. Mercola's webpage sells B-12 in the spray. I am sure it maybe more absorable than the lozenge..It is worth a try. My mom used to get the shots monthly. Felt great for a week or two then slowly down hill again. I have been using sublingual methyl 1000 lozenges for the past few years (although not daily) and still have what looks like pernicious anemia and a dropping platelet count. A holistic doctor gave me a shot of B12 (along with a few other nutrients) and I felt better for a few days. Not all agree that lozenges work as good as shots. I read that you may only absorb 1% from a lozenge. But since I can't get the " clean " shots without a 'script, I may " up " my lozenge size (to 5 mg) and do them daily... Thanks again. -m Alternative- Medicine- Forum@ s.com, " Marjij " <marjij wrote: > > According to Dr. Pall's research, the sub lingual vitamin B12 works just as well as the shots. That is, the oral, SUB LINGUAL pills. And he highly recommends using the Methylcobalamin, not just Cyanocobalamin form,(check the label). Cyano is what is usually found in over the counter pills, because it is the cheapest to make, but it is also the least effective and absorbable. I have been taking both, 1000 mcg daily, and it has reduced my chemical sensitivity, increased my energy, and produced general overall wellbeing. > > Just don't expect the pills that are digested, those that you have to swallow, to work well.
