Guest guest
2 days ago I noticed an irritation in my nasal canal (going down to my throat), I thought I had something caught but then I realized I was going to get sick. I now have a lot of sinus pressure, green mucus and a very irritated nasal cavity. My throat does not hurt so I'm wondering if this is a sinus infection. I want to knock this out quick so I need some help. Here's what I've tried so far, Neti pot before bed, apple cider vinegar morning and night, oregano 2x a day, ecchinacia tea, and I just got new vitamins (I think this also caused me to get sick because I ran out about a week ago), I also stopped taking vitex after taking it for 2 months, and cayenne pepper. I'm trying to not eat dairy, eat a lot of vit. c and drink a lot of water. Any other advise?
Guest guest
I would try spray or drops of a sodium bicarbinate/ sea salt solution. >2 days ago I noticed an irritation in my nasal canal (going down to my throat), I thought I had something caught but then I realized I was going to get sick. Guest guest
I take 1/2 dropperful of the following herbal tinctures when I feel something coming on in my nasal passages or throat: Osha root (Colorado cough syrup) Lomatium dissectum (proven H1N1 flu killer) Mullein leaf (lung herb) Slippery Elm (antiviral) Myrrh gum (decongestant) Boneset(old-fashioned flu remedy) Suma root (immune system builder) In addition, I take the following: Niacin (the flushing kind, nicotinic acid) Vitamin D (4000 IU) Non-alcoholic, 2.3% iodine solution swabbed on the inside of my nose Using this protocol, I can get rid of anything in less than 1 hour. Further, this protocol is a great preventative. Guest guest
I use the oil of oregano 4 times a day when I feel I'm coming down with something and if I do get sick I keep it up, along with the neti pot, vitamin C in large doses - 6000 - 8000 units a day and Kold Kare, I also just found that the main ingredient in Kold Kare can be bought plain and stronger so got some of this as well. Also, since I am prone to sinus drainage and infection, my people with hypothyroid are, I try to nip things before hand so I never have to go on antibiotics. I also take probiotics which helps with sinus - and if and when I do get sick (just finished having a cold with sinus stuff) lots of long hot showers really help, not only does it get things flowing and helps open up nasal passages and gets them hydrated, anytime you have an infection anywhere , if you soak in hot water for 20 minutes you body with do a complete extra circulation of the blood, and therefore will do an extra cleanse and help you fight any infection quicker. So taking several baths/showers will help move things along. Good luck.
