Guest guest
this is for a 3 yr. old, I have tried neosporin for a few days, then honey for a one day, and all these treatments did was open it up more, and make it angrier looking. Now I am not doing anything, and it is somewhat better, but doesn't look like it is going anywhere! One site I read, said it is a fungal infection? One friend said it is a vitamin b deficiency? Anyone have this, or have remedied it with something?? Would appreciate advice
Guest guest
I am not sure, however my sis in law suggested Vit b 12 for it however you have to get the kind that disolves under your tongue. My husband gets it too especially in the winter. , " seashelll30 " <seashelll30 wrote: > > this is for a 3 yr. old, I have tried neosporin for a few days, then honey for a one day, and all these treatments did was open it up more, and make it angrier looking. > Now I am not doing anything, and it is somewhat better, but doesn't look like it is going anywhere! > One site I read, said it is a fungal infection? > One friend said it is a vitamin b deficiency? > Anyone have this, or have remedied it with something?? > Would appreciate advice >
Guest guest
I'm not familiar with Angular Chelitis itself, but have you tried coconut oil? You might try mixing a drop or two of lavender oil into a tablespoon of oil and applying a small amount of that. I know how kids are about licking their faces, I'd be worried about using anything not food-safe. The lavender won't taste as good as straight coconut, but it shouldn't make him sick! Guest guest
I've had success using castor oil for skin problems. Also if possible dab a little baking soda on top of that..or mix the two together first and apply.. Anything fungus related I would use Tea Tree Oil but for a toddler, plus around the mouth I wouldn't do it because of the smell.. , " seashelll30 " <seashelll30 wrote: > > this is for a 3 yr. old, I have tried neosporin for a few days, then honey for a one day, and all these treatments did was open it up more, and make it angrier looking. > Now I am not doing anything, and it is somewhat better, but doesn't look like it is going anywhere! > One site I read, said it is a fungal infection? > One friend said it is a vitamin b deficiency? > Anyone have this, or have remedied it with something?? > Would appreciate advice >
Guest guest
I developed this condition as an allergic reaction to a new face soap. I was told once I got it, it'd be forever come back. They were right. I'm not overdoing Vit A, underdoing the B Vits, ok with iron, etc. Neosporin made it worse. I have found a low dose cortosteriod cream once daily (or every other day) and Aquaphor for chapstick has helped. Good luck! , " seashelll30 " <seashelll30 wrote: > > this is for a 3 yr. old, I have tried neosporin for a few days, then honey for a one day, and all these treatments did was open it up more, and make it angrier looking. > Now I am not doing anything, and it is somewhat better, but doesn't look like it is going anywhere! > One site I read, said it is a fungal infection? > One friend said it is a vitamin b deficiency? > Anyone have this, or have remedied it with something?? > Would appreciate advice >
Guest guest
If you will get some black strap molasses and start giving it to him several times a day, you can heal that fast. I have healed mine up many times with it. It is very good for this. Put it in milk and let him drink it or try giving him a spoonful of it. A teaspoonful for a baby. If he shows not liking it add a bit of Gramma's Molasses to sweeten a bit. But gradually get him to like the Blackstrap plain. You will have a healthy baby when you do. My sister in law raised her babies on this in their cereal and she had beautiful healthy babies too. Black strap is high in minerals and very nutritious. I would also start giving him some B complex vitamins in the liquid for this to help prevent it recurring. It is a B deficiency. I have dealt with it myself in the yrs past but no longer now.
