Guest guest
I have recently been diagnosed with fibromyalgia by my rheumatologist. I accepted no meds.,but I do take liquid d3 as mine was very low. I have been having hypothyroid symptoms for 4 to 5 years now. All the dr. say is my blood work is within normal range. My sister also has hypothyroidism and is being treated. A copy of my labs revealed that my free t3 was 2.56 pg/ml which was slightly low on their scale. my free t4 is 1.44 ng/dl, my tsh is 1.11 uIU/ml. my co2 is 21 mmol/l which was low on their scale and my anion gap is 20 meq/l which is maxed out. I also have had swollen lymph nodes in my neck for months now. They are not very large but you can feel them. I had an ultrasound done that revealed The right thyroid gland measures 1.6 x 2 x 5cm. There is a small 4mm cyst int he right thyroid gland, inferiorly. Additionally, there is a 4.5mm hypoechogenic nodule with likely calcification also seen in the inferior pole. Left thyroid gland measures 4.3 x 1.5 x 1.8cm in dimension. There is a 4mm cyst in the mid pole of the left thyroid gland. A small hypoechogenic nodule is seen in the inferior pole measuring 4mm and a second hypoechogenic nodule seen in the inferior pole measuring 7mm. My dr refused to test me for thyroid antibodies. I'm now switching to a new dr. I would just really like to know what the chances of cancer are. I have an appointment with an endocrinologist in 6 weeks, but it can't get here fast enough. Could this just be hashimoto's and benign? Does anyone know of an alternative to diagnosing cancer other than biopsy. I'm worried that if it is cancer it could seed into the healthy tissue. any thoughts or suggestions on whats going on? Sorry for the long post, but I need new options. Any thoughts on dr. Johanna Budwig protocol?
Guest guest
Is it not possible for you to go to another doctor? I would have thought testing for thyroid antibodies was fairly standard....
Guest guest
Hi, there are several other groups here on that can help you, one is the naturalthyroidhormone group, there is an adrenal group, a Fibro CF group and a RT3 group. I have 7 nodules on my thyroid - discovered back in 2000 - most docs will want to have you do the nuke test, many feel this is not good - the next step so you know if they are cancerous or not is FNA - fine needle aspiration - where they use a needle to draw a sample out of the nodule. Lat, but not least, MOST nodules are not cancerous, the other area you need to look at, especial if you FEEL HYPO is if you have a tumor on your pituitary - I have one of those also - and it can make your TSH come back with a false low number, you feel hypo and the doc is sitting there telling you that you are hyper..... My thyroid is also enlarged and I have a small goiter as well. Taking Idoral (iodine) will also help shrink the nodules and keep them from getting bigger and will also be beneficial to your thyroid. (there is even an iodine group on here) Again despite what docs say, we are a nation of iodine deficient people - no matter how much they put in our food etc - they also add bromide/bromine to many foods because it is cheaper and that in turn strips iodine out of our bodies. You, your sister and just about anyone will feel better taking it - it also helps our bodies get rid of toxins and heavy metals. My sister in law developed hypo symptoms very quickly after moving here - their new house had a hot tub and it ran on bromine instead of chlorine (though that isn't too good for us either) she also had a Mountain Dew in her hand at all times which is LOADED with bromine via bromated vegetable oil as is any citrus flavored drink....YUCK - her TSH came back at 78....I had been trying to tell her for over a year she had thyroid problems, I really think the hot tub combined with the mountain dew did her in, she is now doing much better, they switched the hot tub over to chlorine and she stopped drinking that stuff and got on thyroid meds which will be your next problem - you need to find a doc that will prescribe natural thyroid hormone like Naturthroid or Armour. I have also had FNA's done multiple times obviously with no ill effect, I hope this helps, I know exactly how you feel, when the idiot doc I was seeing told me I had all these nodules, he didn't do anything for a while and of course my first thought was the same as yours - the big difference - I didn't know about any of these web sites and was afraid to tell anyone or ask anyone. I also have Fibro which many, many people with thyroid have - I take LDN for that, which can also help with tumors, cancers etc. SeaLady I have recently been diagnosed with fibromyalgia by my rheumatologist. Guest guest
hello: I just started a 7-10 day fast based on a book by Paavo Airola, ND. I've had a pain on my right side for years and every so often it puts me in bed for weeks at a time. Tumor? Cancer? who knows. I am closing out day 6 of the fast and the pain is gone. According to the author, Scandinavians frequently fast and use fasting as a key tool for good health. The book is entitled THERE IS A CURE FOR ARTHRITIS, but the fasting program can be used for all that ails you. I would definitely fast if I had cancer. I hope this helps and I wish you much success in your effort to overcome your cancer. ps the author has another book that may be more beneficial. He is a very easy read with good info and I highly recommend it to anyone who eats processed foods, white sugar, flour, rice, etc. can't remember the exact name but I just bought it on Amazon.com, so if you do a search on his name you'll find it. , " charlie " <charliebrowniest72 wrote: > > I have recently been diagnosed with fibromyalgia by my rheumatologist.
