Guest guest
>>> If this is for their drum skins, then no it shouldn't be diluted down, if it's for skin it's a personal preference thing.>>> WOOHOOOO Drumming talk! LOL I am certified crazy about drumming, so I've had lots of talks with other drummers about the use of Shea butter on their heads. There were some folks arguing with me that there was NO way shea could go rancid, period, end of story. Sigh.....I only argue with them for a bit tho and figure let them figure it out later when it gets really stinky! We have a drumming retreat this next weekend......I can't wait!!! BTW, I made up a recipe of shea with some ginger EO to warm the hands, some Tea Tree for any little cuts etc, and clove to help numb <G> Your hands get awful sore when drumming! I always tell folks to put it on their hands first......then rub it into the drum head. OK, now I gotta go play with my drum! Guest guest
Hey Chris, Cool! I just love drumming, listening that is. When I was doing a show this summer called the World Beat Festival there was lots of it. I had a booth in the African Village and there was a booth not far from me where they sold african drums, made them and also had workshops for the kidos to make some too. Had a drummers show and it was way cool! Sold a bit of shea butter to those that knew it was good for thier drums. Your recipe sounds good, might have to look into something like that for next years show for those drummers. Hope ya had a great time playing! Margaret >WOOHOOOO Drumming talk!
