They're all fairly mild surfactants. I've never tried the cream soap made with

the two lyes so I don't know if it leaves a film, that might be the reason to go

with the surfactants. However, I think you could use the " natural " cream soap

with more additives than the other one, and not destroy the foaming agent.

Surfactants and oils have to be used in pretty scientific proportions to keep

the foam. I can vouch for Chris' soap paste. I am having a hard time buying

lye because of the meth problem here so I bought some of Chris'. It's fantastic!
