Cream Soap

Anyone here make cream soap? I've been making some VERY nice whipped

cream soaps, but in a " cheat method " using my shea butter soap base

shredded, luxury oils and hydrosols and whipping it up - not using the

Failor or SDF method, both of which I can't stand the results of. I'm on

a cream soap making list, but nobody there shares successful recipes,

they just all refer to buying a book from one of the members (which I

suppose is fine, we all gotta make a living) - so I'll stick with my

luxurious " cheat " whipped cream soaps ;) I just wanted to share that it

can be done really nicely, really easily without those methods!

Cool! So tell me, how do you package the whipped soap? Do you just add

enough hydrosols and oils to get a thinner, pourable from a bottle type

consistency? I may just have to try that with some soap scraps I have.

Thanks for sharing!

Chris,

I had a recipe for cream soap that combined Faillor's method. It turned out

really nice, although I haven't tried it. Let me dig through my computer

and see if I still have it. It's been about 4 years, but it should still be

in there!!!

Oh where, oh where did that cream soap recipe go. Oh where, oh where could

it be?...........continue singing please.

Nikie,

If you can find it please do post it. I certainly wouldn't mind trying

other ways of making cream soap if they make a nice soap. The straight

Faillor and SDF methods seem to make unpleasantly harsh soaps - and at

that point why bother since its not an easy process anyway *lol*.

Hey Chris:

Do you or anyone else on our list know whatever happened to Ana at Anastasia's

? I would love to know if she is alright. She was very, very good at what she

did, I must say.

Thank you,

Jenn

Jenn,

Ana and I are best friends and business partners. She is currently in Costa

Rica running a restaurant at a hotel and loving every minute of it. She will be

coming back here around Dec.

Has anyone used the pre-made product Foaming Bath Butter? It says to add

your choice of oil and fragrance and then whip. Seems easy enough, but

I'm leary of the ingredients. Any thoughts?
