Re:strange request

i just wanted to thank all for the suggestions on where to get rye. we

live in a small town

and don't have any health food stores within 100 miles of here. we do

have several food

co-ops but they don't carry rye. my next visit to the amish community

north of here

will be my next stop. they have several bread shops and may know of a

source close

that i'm not aware of.

my friend thinks that she may try the rye from the feed store with a

couple of washings

to see what happens. as she is making mash and will be using lots of

liquid, the washings

wouldn't hurt the rye. she tells me this is an old family recipe. i'd

prefer that she

make some mulled wine for me but hey, she's not doing it for me! LOL
