Dr. Samuel Alexander GOTCHER Dr. Sam was the oldest son of William Alfred GOTCHER (b. 1836 d. 1890) and Elizabeth Garland Lansford (b. 1844 d.1912). He was born in Texas in 1866, and died in Chicago, Cook CO, IL, in 1922. He graduated from Marion Sims College of Medicine in St. Louis, MO, and received his MD in 1895. Dr. Sam attended post graduate courses at the College of Physicians and Surgeons in St. Louis, MO. He patented Pneumo-Phthysine, Numotizine, a drug for the treatment of pneumonia & typhoid fever.
