Guest guest
I don't think its commonly called " baby aspirin " anymore cause of the whole Reyes syndrome thing. Now it is called " Low Dose aspirin " . In the US it is 81 mg., in Europe it is 75 mg. I have NO idea what it is in Canada *lol* One brand in the US is St. Joseph's *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com Carol Pearce [cjpearce] What is baby asprin? Guest guest
phew! Thank goodness he doesn't need surgery! That scares me (ever since we lost our Lady to anesthesia in 2001). I'm a basket case any time someone mentions surgery for an animal. Cindy - Low dose I saw the other day...Ok... Well he's home, the official verdict is... Xrays do not show any sign of vertebral displacement or hip arthrits. However, there is some intestinal inflammation which may be a secondary iritation ( from the garbage bag , he got into last week). He is NOT allowed to run, jump, climb stairs or play with the other dog for the next 6 weeks.. ( poor thing is goinna get soo depressed). Cage confinement. He's also too fat ( weight 34.4 lbs) should be 27-29 lbs.. Thanks everyone for all the wishes today, I was a bit of a mess this morning, My kid was a mess ( she's 10 and the dog is hers), and I had to be the tough one until I got home and locked myself in front of the computer. So, Thanks again... Going to go eat, then take his picture.. Carol

Guest guest
I am so sorry to hear about Lady, it is very hard when the animals get ill, and even harder when these family members die..They truly are one of the family.. We also have a bunny who likes to run between the dogs legs, she is litter trained so, she is allowed free run of the house in the evening as long as I'm home. My daughter freaks out at her Grandma alot, when the kid goes over there for dinner and asks what they are having, Grandma tells her Rabbit...She thinks , she's being funny...My child doesn't appreciate that type of Humor.. Oh, well...be safe Carol - " Pittstown Soapworks, LLC " <guinness97 Monday, August 30, 2004 2:46 PM Re: Baby Aspirin (was RE: OT: Happy Monday Or is it?) > > phew! Guest guest
Thanks, Carol........Lady operation wasn't because she was ill. She was going to be spade - you know, the responsible thing to do..... We didn't know it, but she had a heart defect, and just after her 4th birthday we lost her. We only had her for a year - adopted her from an old man who couldn't keep up with her. We had no way of knowing that she really WAS ill and that we put her to sleep without saying goodbye. Kiss your puppies (and rabbit) goodnight every night. Sorry if that sounds sappy...... Guest guest
No Cindy, it doesn't sound sappy at all. Our Precious is 13 years old and she's like our baby. She takes care of our grandchildren as if they were her babies and fusses when their parents come and pick them up to go home.......lol. They give us more joy than some people realize.
