Guest guest
Thank you for sharing your recipe idea Tiffany, That being said - I have always been quite skeptical about how well slimming and anti-cellulite creams work (and even about how they are supposed to work). If it were really possible to lose weight and remove cellulite puckers just by using a cream I think there'd be a lot more svelte bodies out there *lol* *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com > > To Die For Inc [todieforinc] > SLIP SLIMMING AWAY! Guest guest
Is this formula a joke? Why is it that women (mainly) fall for this kind of crazy junk? There is no such thing as a genuine anti cellulite preparation; it is all beauty therapy hype. If there were it would have to be classified as a drug because it would need to be absorbed and work on the fat cells directly. Also, this idea of " detoxifying " the body using such products is plain hogwash. A normal body detoxifies itself perfectly well via the organs we are equipped with. All you can do to assist that is take some herbs, have a massage or maybe a sauna. No product you put on the skin will cause excess body metabolites to be removed except for some dirt in the pores, just a soak in the bath will do that. As to the ingredients: Most are really old standard cosmetic ingredients. Plenty of fixed oils to give the skin the appearance of being smoother, but those are not affecting the subcutaneous tissues. The essential oil blend will smell nice, but not one of the suggested oils has any documented effects on cellulite and anyway not enough can be absorbed to cause such an effect. So don't waste your time and money. Eat less food, Go for a walk, a bike ride or swim and get fit to tighten up that cellulite. The only cure other than that is liposuction, but that can cause more pits and scars and make the original condition look even worse. Guest guest
As a woman who had 2 kids, I am 5'4 " and 110lbs , not overweight I understand your point, but until man experiences the joy of pregnancy and the effects you'll never understand. 13 years since my last kid and all the excercise in the world won't make my belly flat- but I earned it:) Gea , " aromamedical2003 " <aromamedical-2@l...> wrote: > Is this formula a joke? > Why is it that women (mainly) fall for this kind of crazy junk? Guest guest
Hi Gea & Hello ALL: I am new to this list, just popped on last week. I live in Florida and I am into soaping and learning candles. Was raised in Hawaii & Florida. 40 & Married, 1 stepson Zack who is 6, 4 dogs, 13 cats, 4 turtles, various fish. My DH is a manager for a Pizza Hut delivery store & I am a hairstylist, lisc. in Florida. I hope to get to know everyone over time...and for you to know me! This sounds like and interesting list! Here goes my 2 cents: I agree with you Gea. My thought is, well, the essences will at least help calm us, and topically smooth us. I was a model at the Southern Women's Show a few years back, and they demonstrated Endermology(sp?) on my thigh's cellulite. That was a technique using massage with a handheld type of massage plate. By the end of the day my legs appeared smoother, there was lots of blood circulation and I drank water all day to flush toxins out. I believe it was very helpful, at the very least, in circulation and breakdown of fatty tissues just below the skins surface, but above the muscles. Perhaps, lotions that have nice EO's and smooth us, also ease our minds just a bit.
