My name is Peggy, I'm fairly new to herbs, but learning quickly! I look forward to " meeting " everyone. My question is: has anyone ever used white sage in soap? It smells so lovely. Hi Peggy, I was just thinking that I needed to get to work and make some white sage soap! ;^P I haven't made it for several years so I don't remember the amount of sage I used (it was a fair amount), but all I did was infuse the dried sage in my olive oil before adding iot to the other oils. Can't remember how long I infused it, either, but I probably did it in the crock pot for a day or two before straining it off. I was surprised at how well the scent came through from just an infusion w/out adding any other fragrance. . . . Speaking of which, does anyone know where I can get white sage EO? I make a soap with Turkish Sage - which by the way, in that part of the world " White Sage " is the common name for the Salvia fruticosa, but that isn't the white sage we think of here, which can either be Salvia apiana or a plant that is actually not a salvia - Artemisia ludoviciana - another good reason to use botanical names! Anyway, I digress ..
