Storms in Florida

Hello everyone not sure if any members on the list are near or in the

path

of Tropical Storm Bonnie or Hurricane Charley, If you are be take

care of yourselves and my prayers will be with all in the path of both

storms.

 

I'm in Miami Lakes and we are only expecting some wind and rain

if anything.

Thank you for your thoughts, Marlen. I'm in Jacksonville and we're right in the

storm's present path. Fortunately, it will not be hitting us ocean side, so we

will avoid the storm surge (I live a little ways inland but right next to a

creek which empties out into the river--an evacuation zone if it hit us from the

ocean). Unfortunately, even though Bonnie didn't really get that close, we had

some major damage from 3 tornados in isolated areas. Emergency management says

we can expect widespread damage like that caused by the tornados. It's already

thundering outside now and we're not supposed to get hit until late

tonight/early tomorrow.

 

Florida's not so bad with hurricanes but you couldn't pay me to move to the

Outer Banks of NC!!

You keep dry in Miami Lakes!

I live in Maine, so we are supposed to get the rements of the two storms this

weekend. I think it's kind of funny that they are named for me and my husband!!

and is safe and evacuated.
