Guest guest
>>>I would like to ask the experts if it is possible to obtain Sandalwood >>>Oil using the CO2 method. Many thanks.<<< Not an expert, but I'll answer anyway. Two reputable suppliers that I know of sell S'wood CO2. White Lotus Aromatics and Essential Oil University. (am I allowed to mention the suppliers?) I bought some from one 3 years ago, or so. This sample was thick, sweet, and maple-smelling. Very delicious, actually, but if you are expecting sandalwood smell, it's not that !! I've sampled another from " another " supplier, (not one of the two I refer to above) and it was quite different. Not thick and viscous, but clear and just like any other eo in appearance. It had more of a sandalwood smell. So one must have been a total and one a select I'm thinking. I don't know that much about it, but I'm sure you could e-mail these sites to get more information. These suppliers are highly regarded, for the most part, so I assume what they are selling is legit. Good luck. Christy BOTANICAL AROMATICS My Company in the Making _______________ Is your PC infected? Guest guest
Hi Christy, Thanks for the info. Someone here in Perth is apparently using this method and the oil I have seen is very orange and smells like the wood from the tree, and is very strong. Just wondered if it was possible. Guest guest
G'day all. I'm a bit behind with this one, but supercritical CO2 extraction for sandalwood is possible. One problem is that the equipment is hellaciously expensive. Dennis Archer http://www.toona.com.au Virginia Dawes [virginia] 3 August 2004 10:34 Re: sandalwood co2 Hi Christy, Thanks for the info.
