Guest guest
Hi, everyone, I bought what was billed as Peppermint EO from an eBay seller. Well, it's here, but it doesn't quite smell like any Peppermint EO I've used, but I loved the smell--sort of like really good mint candy tastes, kind of like spearmint with a menthol kick to it. I wrote him and asked what species the oil came from. Turns out it's Mentha arvensis--I found it called Cornmint on a website. Is anyone familiar with cornmint? If so, what's it used for, what shouldn't it be used for, and is there anything else I should know/wonder about/worry about? I think the smell's pretty yummy so I'd like to keep using it in the diffuser and I'm dying to make soap out of it. Please and thanks in advance, Serra -- Check out my eBay auctions! Guest guest
I've never smelled cornmint by itself, but it's a component of Brambleberry's Moroccan Mint. The FO (which must have its share of EO's!) has the most wonderful, smooth smell to it! Good luck and let us know what you decide to do with it! -- cjk Hi, everyone, I bought what was billed as Peppermint EO from an eBay seller. Guest guest
Hi Catherine, If there's cornmint in that FO I'll bet it's a great one--I've had a soy candle done with it that was nice, so I'm going to put it thru its paces this coming week. We'll see how it does in soap and I might throw it at some incense sticks and see what happens too.
