Hi all,

I posted some pics in the photo section, under CHris Kelly.....these are

pics of my 13 YO son. These bumps came up from nowhere, and have now

spread. I have never seen poison ivy, sumac etc....so am not even sure

that this is what it is. Hubby lost his job and insurance on 6/30, so Dr

visit is not doable right now :( I first started him with Emu combined

with Bulg Lav and Tea Tree. I am giving him Benadryl by mouth to help with

the itching as well. Today I went to the *laboratory* and whipped up a

balm of sorts using Aloe butter, shea butter, Emu oil, a bit of Squalene

and an essential oil blend of maybe 7 diff oils......my notes are at the

shop.....and I am brain dead! LOL

Here is the strange thing......I have a customer/buddy that is a wonderful

85 YO woman. 2 days ago she went to the Dr because of a bump on her

chest. She has had shingles in the past and thought that was what she was

dealing with again. The Dr told her it was a bug bite! As you can guess,

she is now covered in almost the same areas as Matthew is.....except she

doesn't have any on her legs. She is going to try to get into that *quack*

again tomorrow to see what he has to say about all of those bug bites <G>

So/.....if anyone who has seen poison ivy etc could look at the pics and

tell me if that is what it looks like, I'd be grateful! Also.....is it

catching? Hubby & I don't have any problems at all. Thanks all!

I think it looks like chicken pox or shingles. I have heard of people getting

chicken pox more than once in a lifetime. Shingles are just another form of

chicken pox. Try an oatmeal bath for the itching. Kathy

I agree it does look like shingles, and the bigger ones look like

chicken pox.

We though that maybe my hubby had shingles going on, and it turned out

to be scabies!

I guess I'm scabie phobic right now *lol*

I hope you get to the root of the problem! Good luck, feel better ..

don't let the bed bugs bite :(

*Cheers*

Honey,

If it's shingles you'll know! My son had shingles this last year.

Someone came to school with chicken pox and none of my kids, since they

had never gone to day care have ever had chicken pox. DD got chicken

pox ( a really good case) but my son had shingles. Man it was very

painful and I understand the older you are the worse they can be. Be

careful, is there a community doctor, or maybe a health center you could

go to and find out for sure. Shingles are dangerous as well as painful.

Take care dear

I think it looks like chicken pox too- if you can't get to the Dr.

or the call and see if chicken pox is going around- chances are if

your son and the lady has this rash somethings going around town, it

may help you know what your dealing with.

I do know people who had chicken pox twice.

good luck
