But if you start taking a spoonful of honey from your area ( that is the important part), months before the pollen season comes, it can help . Your body learns to slowly fight off the sensitizers instead of having to fight off all in a big onslaught. Will this help with allergies that I have acquired since I gave birth to my kids? I never had allergies before then gradually they came on and one year we had drought conditions and I haven't been the same since. I really get stuffy and have to sleep in the recliner to get any rest. Eyes itch so bad I want to remove them from the sockets. Guest guest
Kathy, I would not know if the honey treatment would work for you, but it's worth a try, for it can't hurt you Just remember , if your problem is from pollen, start good 3 to 4 month before the pollen season. The honey would do nothing for allergies, like cat's or fragrances.. However, symptoms such as yours could be from dustmites, or even new flooring or furniture in the house. Putting some iced teabags on your eyes might work better than itching My girlfriend had symptoms such as yours and she looked and sounded liked she had always a perpetual sinus cold. Turned out she was allergic to the new furniture her husband had bought, it was the type of scotchguard that was used on it. Looked like suede, but was repellent to stains. they had to get rid of the new furniture. Even with the honey treatment there are days when I have to use Claritin.., my system just gets overloaded, since I insist on being outside, but overall the difference was remarkable, especially to hay fever. I actually got a fever with it and was miserable, on that score the honey worked for me. C-M
