What I'm talking about Martin is those who come on the list, send a note that is derogatory about another list members product or pricing at the same time they're promoting someone elses. That's bad manners. I'm am not talking about a crap company that promotes crap products by directly lying to their customers and everyone else. I AM vocal about YL and I will continue to be vocal about them and Gary Young, however I will NOT come on the list and say (For example) Chris sells really crappy Woobeys, their prices are too high, the stuffing she uses is just cheap garbage, but (again for example) Butch sells really GOOD Woobeys, with nice filling at a good price. THAT is extraordinarly bad manners and NOT the same thing as saying that YL is Crap, GY is a lying con man who promotes mediocre to crap products at ridiculously high prices and promotes dangerous practices. My example of the Woobeys is Opinion, my example of YL and ex-con Young are fact. There is a very big difference. K Cheers! Guest guest
When are people going to realize that these kinds of group rules are ideal for con artists to come onto lists and spam and indoctrinate people with their crap. Oh it would be lovely to live in a nice world where everyone was nice, but in aromatherapy that is a ridiculous concept. This is ripe coming from you Kathleen as you have been very vocal in your opposition to the mind manipulating methods used by Young Living. So do those of us who know the con artists keep quite and let them suck in another heap of customers? Martin Watt Biting his tongue for now over a new member on this group, but let's see how their posts work out. , WoobeyQueen@a... wrote: > This is a friendly list. Guest guest
That's fine Kathleen, but the rule was worded in such a way as to make myself (and no doubt new comers) think it was meant to inhibit all criticism. You know as well as I do that several newsgroups do have such ridiculous rules to pander to those people who like living in a fairy tale land where everyone is nice to each other. All those rules do is give free reign to the quacks and con artists because they do not have to fear being challenged hard. I think its about time we had a newsgroup that is not the private domain of any individual and does not have rules that inhibit frank and heated discussion. There are now so many AT related newsgroups the situation is getting ridiculous. Some people use them purely as marketing tools. Others do not allow anyone to post something which is against the newsgroup owner or their products. There is as the result no real freedom of expression in these groups. I should add here that this group is the best out there in that respect and great on Christine for keeping it going.
