Guest guest
In Cleveland Co. southwest of Pine Bluff. It isn't all just my property though. It belongs to the descendants of my grandfather. We are the only ones who care about it though, except for the timber money that comes in every 10 years or so. It actually is land that belonged to my great grandfather who surveyed that part of Arkansas for Abe Lincoln. He then fought against him in the Civil War. He had 11 children, 6 born before the War, and 7 after. But because of his grant from Lincoln for 10 sections, he was able to keep it after the war, and the carpet baggers didn't get it. He then divided it up amoung his children. Where in AR is your property? Hope this helps, Charlee in AR

I'm up in the NE corner in Jonesboro. As far as property, it's the lot my house sits on. Are all the papers, etc. that came with the grant still around? What a genealogical gem (a growing hobby of mine). Glad I could help out with that tree. Don't try to climb it - bad childhood memories. LOL! Charlee
