Thanks! *Smile* Chris (list mom - yes, I'm STILL packing co-op orders - I now realize just how much oil a half ton + really is http://www.alittleolfactory.com

Assuming you have no major immunological challenge, your immune system should be able to take care of them. Besides, they really don't prefer us as a host. I know that's not much comfort when one is infected with with hundreds of microscopic, itching, crawling mites though. Maybe just something ultra-soothing until they decide you are not Park Avenue and move along? JenB
Guest guest
Don't think they will just disappear...... Had a son move to his father's before scabies was diognosed at our house thanks to some neighbor kids. They did not go away. It was months later that I discovered my son took them with him to Calif. from Oregon. Finally got his father to listen and get him taken care of with medicine. Used the poison the critter route. Back before I was looking for more natural ways to heal. I'm behind in my reading these emails. Sorry for the late response. If you catch it from a dog, or animal, chances are it's Sarcoptes scabiei var canis, in which case it IS a self-limiting infection in people with healthy immune systems. If scabies is caught from humans, Sarcoptes scabiei var hominis, you are correct in that it may not go away so easily. This mite has adapted itself to the human host. I'm sorry for the confusion. In my foggy memory, I seem to recall that the original post said something about catching it from a puppy, hence my comment, and the subsequent confusion. Guest guest
Okay, here is the scabies update. It was definitely a people version of scabies. I had the whole family do the sulphur treatment - first while we were waiting for the compounding pharmacy to make the prescription for us I had hubby and baby use some pomada de azufre that I found in Wal-Mart. Then after the prescription got here the whole family did a 3 day treatment with that sulphur ointment (myself and Sean didn't show any signs of having it, but it was just to be sure). Now hubby and baby seem to be doing better and in the process of healing up, except hubby still has some residual itching, which I have heard from everyone (docs to the scabies message board folks) that is to be expected, until the body is able to process and break down the scabies' yuck that was left under the skin (from dead scabies to scabies poo, etc ..). It has certainly been an awful experience for hubby. His skin is so sensitized to most everything right now and looks horribly battered where the scabies feasted the most, but he is definitely on the mend. The baby didn't seem to be bothered by it or hit so hard, thank goodness. I am personally convinced though that is there is such a thing as hell - it must be full of scabies and fire ants *lol* Thank you all for the input on this subject, and may none of you ever have to deal with this parasitic mite! Happy Monday everyone *Smile* Chris (list mom - who is so very happy as the last of the co-op orders are getting ready to ship today! Now to get on the replacements for the few packages that got damaged during shipping - its almost over, its almost over!!! :-) http://www.alittleolfactory.com nsorcel [jen] , Doris Martin <soapandaharley> wrote: > Don't think they will just disappear...... > Hi Doris, It depends on the subspecies of scabies you are dealing with.
