Guest guest
Hi friends, I've bought some water-based lotion, and now have difficulty trying to put it inside a bottle like this ==> http://www.newdirections.com. au/shop/pimages/2330.jpg The mouth of the bottle is rather small, and the lotion too thick to funnel in. Is it ok if I heat the lotion up a bit so that it gets slightly watery and can pour it into the bottle? Or would this heating spoil the lotion? Thanks for helping.... ....BEn

I always pour my lotions in a qt ziplock bag (easiest size for me to handle) and snip a tiny corner off the bag and pipe the lotion into bottles. Works good one you get control of the bag. The first couple I did were pretty messy. Hahaha Neysa
Guest guest
Why not put it in a zipper bag, cut off the corner and squeeze it into the bottle? Guest guest
put the funnel in the bottle...put the lotion in the funnel and then tap the bottle and funnel together on the counter....tap tap tap. The lotion should gradually fill up the bottle. It is what I have to do as my lotion is a little too thick for the funnel too. It will take a while but it might work. ----- - Ben 7/22/2004 2:12:25 AM Lotion - Heating again Hi friends, I've bought some water-based lotion, and now have difficulty trying to put it inside a bottle like this ==> http://www.newdirections.com. au/shop/pimages/2330.jpg The mouth of the bottle is rather small, and the lotion too thick to funnel in. Guest guest
I used a teaspoon, the funnel tapping worked by once those air bubbles popped, I had lotion everywhere. I also found that when the lotion was that thick it was just as hard for the client to get it out of the bottle, It was slower than ketchup, lol.. I switched to jars, and boy what a difference, I'm not spending 45 minutes to fill a bottle... consider the switch, there are some nice jars out there, and the time saving alone made it worth it. just my 2c. Guest guest
Here's a quick way to fill lotion bottles-- Take a disposable pastry bag, fill, cut a little bit of the tip off, and squeeze into bottles. Guest guest
Have you tried sucking up some lotion in a large syringe, like a meat injector type. Then injecting it into the bottles. Don't use the needle, just the syringe. Anita in TX doesn't work... In the end, I have to resort back to jars... anyone has other advice?
