My love of rocks started when I was a little kid, walking along and picked up

this rough, dirty gray sphere and on a whim threw it down hard on the

sidewalk....it broke in half nicely and the inside turned out to be a magical

city of quartz crystals.

Welcome fer'shur. I was never too crazy about rock collecting till I

began to accidentally find a nice one here and there .. and this one is

the nicest ever even though I didn't find it myself.

Hi Peggy,

> Oh I'm jealous of your rock Butch. I love rocks! Thanks for sharing your

birthday with us. I'm glad that you were well taken care of! They took my

wisdom teeth in my 20's...maybe that's why it took me so long to get wise. I

could have used any wisdom they had to impart.

Welcome fer'shur. I was never too crazy about rock collecting till I

began to accidentally find a nice one here and there .. and this one is

the nicest ever even though I didn't find it myself.

I have an Amethyst Quartz and a Tiger Eye stone I got in Somalia, some

Petrified Wood out of the Sahara at Cairo West, some Pyrite out of New

Mexico, some Gold and Silver flakes in a stone from the tailings in a

mine last year in New Mexico, and a piece of marble that flew off one of

Saddam's Palaces after a smart bomb hit. ;-)

Got purty stones from the Tigris, Euphrates, Ephesus, Pergamom, Troy and

a few other off the wall places and if I don't get any more rocks .. I

reckon I'll be OK.

Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch
