Morning all,

I use pure, cold-pressed macadamia oil, both as my massage blend and as a

moisturiser. It is beautiful! It penetrates the skin as it is fine and leaves

no stickiness behind.

It is certainly not an expensive oil - I buy in 20 litre drums. I make a

terrific soap with it and infuse a lot of my australian leaves in it as well for

my soaps. Great to infuse various basils (use the oil if you can't get it to

grow. I can, but the brushtail possums believe it is for them and not me) and

pour over tomato dishes or anything else needing basil.

Just remember it is a nut and people with nut alergies should refrain.

I've used it on Flying Foxes suffering with dehydration on their wings due to

being trapped in the sun. Rehydrated the skin in next to no time.

Regards

Thanks Merinda... I'll check that out. Macadamia nuts... tasty :)

Flying foxes? How cool. I love fennec foxes, at least the pictures of

them I've seen. But I love anything with big ears. Caracal, some

jerboa species, etc. :-)
