What about application on the face? Supposedly coconut oil can't clog pores; what about jojoba? -Josh Hi Josh Jojoba is often touted in the treatment of acne. Jojoba is not an oil. It is a waxy ester. It is said that it mimics our skin's own sebum and will not clog pores. I'm not sure why someone would not want to use Jojoba for massage, or incorporate a thinner carrier oil? Maybe the cost? I know some people are using it for massage. But, it is costly. Maybe you'd like to add some Rice Bran...very economical, won't aggrevate nut allergies, and full of antioxidants. Guest guest
I visited for chemically sensitive people....the owner had noted that straight jojoba was the only thing that she could use on her face. She was selling that for that purpose on her website...as a moisturizer. I wonder how it is determined that certain oils clog pores....just experience? I have read that tallow can clog pores, but I have used it in soaps for the face and not had that experience with it. Maybe the end percentage after saponification was just too small to make clogging happen..
