Guest guest
A father asked his 12-year-old son if he knew about the birds and the bees. " I don't want to know! " the child said, bursting into tears. " Promise me you won't tell me! " Confused, the father asked what was wrong. The boy sobbed, " When I was six, I got the " There's no Santa speech. " At seven, I got the " There's no Easter Bunny speech. " When I was eight, you hit me with the " There's no Tooth Fairy speech. " " If you're going to tell me now that grownups don't really get laid, I'll have nothing left to live for. "

Guest guest
I was laughing, but my daughter got the " No Santa " speech when she was 5!! We're Jewish and I explained about Saint Nicholas and how the different parts of the world have their different stories and such. I basically told her that is was a good way for parents to get their children to behave when that time of year rolls around. We did make sure to tell her that other kids do believe in Santa and that she shouldn't tell them otherwise. Now, it's really cute when she sees other kids talk about what Santa brought them. She just smiles and will look at her dad and I like she is very wise!! Same thing about the Easter Bunny. But, the really funny thing is that although we have told her the truth about Santa and the Easter Bunny, we don't know what to do about the Tooth Fairy!!! She's lost two teeth so far and asked me if the Tooth Fairy is real. I asked her did she want to believe she is real? She said yes, so I told her then she's real!! We figured since the Tooth Fairy wasn't affiliated with any religion we would at least let her have that. I know, we're goofy!! Oh, she also knows there's no Hanukkah Harry either!! Guest guest
LOL!!!! Pretty much an inside joke. With all the commercialism from Christmas and such, it's just been a running joke that if they all have Santa Claus, we must have a Hanukkah Harry!! Believe me, we don't go bonkers for any of the holidays!!
